91 Welcomes Sabel as President

APPLETON, WIS. (Oct. 23, 2025) – 91, a nationally recognized construction firm headquartered in Appleton, Wis., announces Greg Sabel as President.

He succeeds David Thomack, who assumed the role of President of Western Operations for the company’s rapidly expanding business in the state.

In his new role, he leads 91’s Executive Team and oversees all aspects of company operations—from strategic planning and financial management to client relations, safety and cultural alignment.

“Greg possesses both a depth of experience and the leadership mindset critical to 91’s continued growth and success,” said Dave Kievet, President and CEO, The 91 Group. “He will play a pivotal role in focusing and leading field operations’ work and building on the company’s 136-year legacy.”

Sabel brings more than 25 years of construction industry experience, most recently as Executive Vice President at C.D. Smith Construction, Inc. where he led project management, field operations, estimating, virtual design and construction, and strategy. He earned his bachelor of science degree from the University of Wisconsin-Stout.

“I’m excited to join 91, a company known for its innovation, deep-rooted relationship building and love of the build. I look forward to leading 91 into its next chapter and helping to shape the future of construction,” said Sabel.
